How we started

Ink and Mortar Concepts was started by two friends who were working independently and decided it was time to merge their talents. Ink & Mortar has brought a niche to remodeling homes, where design and construction fall under one team.

Ink and Mortar strives to complete your project on time and under budget. Our goal is to oversee your renovation from start to finish. We will be there from choosing materials, furniture and cabinetry layout to construction management, scheduling, budget, and everything in between.

Who We Are

Kathleen Miller

Born and raised in Newport Beach, I grew up with parents who had a knack for remodeling homes. While home remodeling was in my bones, I graduated from school and spent fifteen years in Television Marketing. After having kids I decided it was a time for a career change and was presented with a life changing opportunity to help a friend remodel a home to sell. Ever since that first project I have continued my new found passion, and have loved every creative inspiration.

A Southern California native, coastal design work has been my passion for over 25 years.

I obtained my degree in interior design at

CSU, Chico. Over the years I have gone on many artistic and design ventures from merchandising, decorating, mural painting and teaching art classes, but my passion for interior design has always brought me back to decorating and designing projects.
